Apple's watchOS 26 system introduces a new hypertension notification feature for the Apple Watch Series 9 and later models, as well as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later models. This feature analyzes user data over a 30-day period using heart rate sensor data and a new algorithm. If signs of chronic hypertension are detected, it will send a reminder to users over the age of 22 who have not been diagnosed with hypertension and are not pregnant. Users can enable a blood pressure log and use third-party devices to monitor their blood pressure.
