Today, the World Economic Forum (WEF), a globally recognized and authoritative institution, along with McKinsey & Company, jointly unveiled the latest batch of 'Lighthouse Factory' designations. Lenovo Group's manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, has been duly honored, marking a historic milestone as the first Chinese enterprise to receive this prestigious accolade in the Americas. Since its inception in 2008, the base has firmly entrenched itself within the local community, spanning nearly two decades of operation.
Through the deployment of over 60 digital solutions, with more than half harnessing the power of artificial intelligence technology, the factory has witnessed a remarkable transformation in its operational performance. Delivery cycles have been drastically shortened by 85%, logistics costs have been significantly reduced by 42%, quality losses have plummeted by 56%, carbon emissions have been slashed by 30%, and production efficiency has soared by 58%. Presently, the base stands as a global digital demonstration factory for Lenovo Group, epitomizing the formidable prowess of 'Intelligent Made-in-China' in its overseas endeavors.
