On September 11, 2025, Appotronics and Gudong Intelligence came together to unveil the industry's groundbreaking 'LCoS+PVG Waveguide' 'One-to-Two' AR Glasses Optical Solution at the Optoelectronics Expo. Alongside this unveiling, they signed a strategic cooperation agreement and inked a purchase order for 10,000 units.
This innovative solution employs a single-light-engine-powered binocular display architecture, enabling independent binocular display through a specialized optical design. When combined with Gudong Intelligence's fourth-generation PVG volume holographic waveguide technology, it attains the pinnacle of the industry in terms of light efficiency, field of view, and display performance.
Appotronics also unveiled two LCoS AR light engines simultaneously: the Dragonfly G1 and the Rainbow C1. These engines support monochrome and full-color displays respectively, boasting high resolution, low power consumption, a compact form factor, and easy integration.
This solution has shattered multiple technical bottlenecks within the industry, driving down the terminal price of AR glasses to the 1,500 - 2,000 yuan range. This price point is significantly lower than the current average for consumer-grade AR glasses, effectively hitting the 'accelerator' for the industry to reach its target of mass production at the ten-million unit scale.
Both parties have put in place a robust production capacity guarantee system. Appotronics' production line is capable of manufacturing 500,000 LCoS AR light engines, while Gudong Intelligence's production line can produce 200,000 PVG waveguides, offering strong backing for large-scale implementation.
