On September 10, 2025, as pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series commenced, Apple's official Chinese website promptly updated its trade-in program, now including support for recycling iPhone 16 series devices. Specifically, the Chinese domestic edition of the iPhone 16 Pro Max can fetch a trade-in credit of up to 6,550 yuan; the iPhone 16 Pro, up to 5,200 yuan; the iPhone 16 Plus, up to 4,600 yuan; and the iPhone 16, up to 4,000 yuan. In contrast, the trade-in credit values for iPhone 15 models and earlier have generally seen a decrease. Additionally, Apple has revised the trade-in credit amounts for Apple Watch, MacBook, iPad, and Android devices, with the trade-in values for older models experiencing a corresponding decline.
