According to the latest Quarterly Tracking Report on the Global Wearable Device Market, published by the International Data Corporation (IDC), worldwide shipments of wrist-worn devices soared to 49.22 million units in the second quarter of 2025, marking a significant 12.3% year-on-year increase. China, the world's foremost market for wrist-worn gadgets, experienced a notable boost thanks to 'national subsidies' and the vibrant '618' shopping festival promotions during the quarter. Shipments in China alone reached 20.8 million units, soaring by 33.8% year-on-year and spearheading the global growth trend. Meanwhile, the markets in the United States and Western Europe are showing signs of gradual recovery, and emerging markets, particularly in Latin America, are sustaining their growth momentum.
