On September 1, Ming-Chi Kuo, a prominent Apple analyst from TF International Securities, refuted rumors that Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone would incorporate under-display fingerprint recognition technology. Earlier, Taiwanese media had speculated that, in an effort to minimize the device's thickness, Apple might adopt Qualcomm's under-display fingerprint solution, reviving a technology absent from iPhones for nearly a decade. Additionally, it was proposed that GIS-KY, a leading touchscreen module manufacturer under Foxconn Group, would handle the orders for the fingerprint recognition module. However, Ming-Chi Kuo stands firm in his earlier prediction that the foldable iPhone will instead feature Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology integrated with side buttons.
