A new report from a reputable source has revealed that Samsung plans to revamp the design of its Galaxy Buds, and its future release could feature an open-ear design that would have them clipped on to ears.
South Korean publication ETNews reported that Samsung is planning to revamp the design of its next Galaxy Buds release with an open-ear, clip-style audio wearable. The new clip-style open-ear design will reportedly be named the "Galaxy Buds Able."
According to 9to5Google, this will look more like the Sony LinkBuds Clip's design, which has the earbuds wrap around the side of one's ear, clipping on its outer edge while one part sits comfortably on the entrance of the ear canal.
It will reportedly not be like the design of Nothing's wireless earbuds that wraps around the back of the ear in an arch.
Various tech companies that offer smartphones and audio wearables have already developed their take on different styles of earbuds, with the likes of HONOR recently debuting the Honor Choice Earbuds Clip 2 Pro.
While in-ear earphones offer noise cancellation and better sound, they can sometimes get tiring or painful to wear, especially for long hours. Clip-style and other forms of open-ear wireless earphones, on the other hand, prioritize comfort that results in less fatigue for longer hours of use.
