Apple's Dalian Century City Store will officially close its doors at 8 p.m. on August 9, marking the first time Apple has shut down a directly-operated store in China. Since its grand opening on October 24, 2015, this store has served the community for nearly a decade, standing as the inaugural Apple official directly-operated store in Dalian and the second in Liaoning Province. Apple's official statement attributed the closure decision to the exodus of multiple retailers from the Dalian Century City Shopping Center.
