Starting July 1, 2026, Hanoi, the bustling capital of Vietnam, will prohibit the entry of gasoline-powered motorcycles and scooters within the confines of Ring Road No. 1. This ban is set to expand to other regions of the city from 2028, progressively encompassing gasoline-fueled private vehicles, with the intention of fully covering the area within Hanoi's Third Ring Road by 2030. This bold initiative is designed to tackle the pressing issue of air pollution.
