Tim Cook has now held the position of CEO at Apple for a longer duration than Steve Jobs' combined tenure, including Jobs' interim periods in the role. Jobs served as CEO of Apple on two occasions: first, from September 16, 1997, to January 5, 2000, for a span of 841 days; and second, from January 5, 2000, to August 24, 2011, totaling 4,249 days. In total, Jobs' tenure as CEO amounted to 5,090 days, a milestone that Cook has now surpassed.
