The uncoupled antisense oligonucleotide drug AHB-137, a groundbreaking innovation from Haobo Pharmaceutical, has secured approval from China's National Medical Products Administration's Center for Drug Evaluation to proceed to Phase 3 clinical trials. This promising medication is being considered as a potential game-changer in the clinical treatment of chronic hepatitis B. The trial, set to take place in China, will employ a rigorous randomized, double-blind, multicenter methodology to assess the efficacy and safety of AHB-137 (administered at a dose of 300mg over 24 weeks) in patients with HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B, all of whom will be maintained on stable nucleoside (acid) analog therapy.
