Recently, An Lusheng, Deputy Director of the National Railway Administration, revealed at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office that the Chengdu-Chongqing Central High-Speed Railway is currently under construction. Upon completion, it is anticipated to operate at a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, drastically reducing the travel time between Chengdu and Chongqing to just 50 minutes. As China's pioneering high-speed railway designed for speeds of up to 400 kilometers per hour, the Chengdu-Chongqing Central High-Speed Railway will establish a significant speed benchmark within China's extensive high-speed rail network.
