Alibaba's virtual telecommunications arm, AliCom, will fully discontinue its privacy protection service, known as "Ali Small Number". This innovative service previously allowed users to manage their privacy by forwarding calls and messages received on a secondary number to their primary number. However, in response to regulatory mandates from telecommunications authorities, Ali Small Number has already ceased service for certain number ranges and will now gradually terminate service for all segments. Existing user numbers will be reclaimed, with any remaining balances refunded through the original payment method.
It is imperative for users who have registered accounts using Ali Small Number to promptly update and re-bind their phone numbers to prevent potential issues such as unauthorized account access or login disruptions.
