On July 17, the Second Meeting of the China-EU Exchange Mechanism on Cross-border Data Flows convened in Brussels, with Deputy Director Wang Jingtao of China's Cyberspace Administration and Director-General Sabine Weyand of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Trade co-chairing the event. The two sides reviewed the substantial progress achieved since the establishment of the mechanism and engaged in in-depth discussions on cross-border data flows, culminating in a wide-ranging consensus. The meeting further decided to establish a dedicated working group aimed at fostering cooperation on cross-border data flows specifically within the automotive sector between China and the EU.
