In collaboration with relevant departments, the National Fire and Rescue Administration has launched a targeted campaign to address safety hazards associated with electric bicycles, hot work in densely populated areas, and building insulation materials. Notably, the first half of this year witnessed a significant drop in electric bicycle fires, with the total number falling to 7,048, marking a year-on-year decrease of 44.7%. Additionally, fires resulting from welding and cutting operations declined by 26.5%. Furthermore, fires related to exterior wall insulation materials showed a notable monthly decline, with no fatalities reported. These achievements underscore the remarkable success of the ongoing rectification efforts.
