Standard Chartered Bank, via its UK operations, has unveiled spot trading services for Bitcoin and Ethereum tailored to institutional clients. As the first globally systemically important bank to offer a secure and compliant platform for these transactions, the bank is setting a new precedent. Clients can seamlessly trade digital assets using a familiar foreign exchange interface, with plans to introduce support for non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) in the near future. This strategic move by Standard Chartered aims to address the growing demand for digital assets among its clientele and assist them in managing risks within a robust regulatory environment.
