Microsoft has announced that it will cease support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, potentially impacting as many as 400 million systems worldwide that fail to meet the upgrade requirements. In a move to provide continued support, Microsoft has extended the lifespan of Microsoft 365 (M365) applications by three years, until 2028. Prior to this announcement, Microsoft introduced a complimentary extended support program for Windows 10, enabling users to seamlessly sync their Microsoft accounts and settings to the cloud, thereby extending system support by an additional year until October 13, 2026, at no extra cost. Alternatively, users can opt to continue receiving updates either by redeeming 1000 Microsoft Rewards points or by paying $30 to maintain the functionality of their local accounts.
