A group of cardiologists from Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital has created an advanced algorithm capable of pinpointing with remarkable accuracy the diseased blood vessels in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) using a standard 12-lead electrocardiogram. This innovative system holds the promise of delivering timely early warnings to high-risk individuals and postoperative patients, bolstering the diagnostic capabilities of primary care facilities for acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and potentially lowering the mortality rate associated with myocardial infarction and the risk of sudden cardiac death.
