On July 9, Shanxi embarked on a new chapter in international trade with the departure of its first China-Europe train service, leveraging combined rail and sea transport through the Caspian Sea. The train, departing from the Zhongding Logistics Park Station in Shanxi, carried 106.26 tons of photovoltaic modules destined for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Comprising 50 carriages, this innovative service adopts the "combined rail and sea transport" mode, cutting the journey time to approximately 20 days—a significant reduction of about 10 days compared to traditional routes. This milestone signifies a profound enhancement in economic and trade cooperation between Shanxi and both Europe and Central Asia.
