Google has integrated a novel functionality into Chrome to ascertain whether Windows 10 devices fulfill the prerequisites for upgrading to Windows 11. This feature activates automatically upon Chrome's launch, scrutinizing hardware specifications such as CPU, memory, storage, TPM 2.0, and secure boot status, subsequently aggregating the results anonymously. At present, this feature serves exclusively for data collection purposes, aimed at gauging the number of devices still in active use following the conclusion of Windows 10's mainstream support.
