Microsoft has officially announced that the forthcoming major update for Windows 11 will be the 25H2 version, scheduled for a full rollout this fall. This development suggests a delay of at least a year for the release of Windows 12. Currently, the 25H2 version is available for preview to members of the Windows Insider program. This update is expected to adopt an enablement package format, which unlocks hidden features based on the 24H2 version, rather than implementing significant underlying architecture changes. Furthermore, Windows 11 25H2 introduces a new Start Menu design aimed at enhancing user experience. The update process has been designed for simplicity, akin to installing a monthly update, thereby eliminating the need for a time-consuming reinstallation.
