On July 1, the Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) initiated a revision of the Approval Procedures for the Import of Civil Aviation Products and Components (AP-21-AA-2023-15). A revised draft has been compiled and is now available for public consultation. The key updates in this revision are as follows: Firstly, Sections 3.5.6 and 4.5.1(4) have been added to clarify the specific requirements for applicants seeking type certification and supplemental type certification to submit approval and certification plans. Secondly, Section 9 has been introduced to detail the standards for airworthiness review fees associated with approval review items. These enhancements aim to provide further guidance and standardization for the approval and certification process of imported civil aviation products and components.
