Effective June 28, 2025, the Civil Aviation Administration of China introduced new regulations prohibiting the carriage of power banks lacking a 3C mark, displaying unclear 3C marks, or being subject to recall on domestic flights. In response, DJI has clarified that its drone batteries do not constitute portable power banks and hence do not require 3C certification. Consequently, aircraft security requirements remain unaffected by these new regulations. Additionally, DJI's battery charging hub is likewise excluded from the scope of power bank inspections. Sony has also confirmed that its camera batteries do not fall under the classification of portable power banks. Nonetheless, travelers are advised to check with local airport customer service for any potential temporary control measures in place at various airports to ensure up-to-date information before their journey.
