A recent investigation by a reporter has uncovered a widespread practice among some express delivery companies of "rounding up" charges for additional weight. During the tests, a package weighing 2.7 kilograms was billed as 3 kilograms or even 4 kilograms by JD Logistics, STO Express, YTO Express, J&T Express, and several other companies. According to current regulations, express packages must be accurately weighed, and the billing weight should be rounded to at least one decimal place after the kilogram mark. This "rounding up" practice does not adhere to these established guidelines.
The newly revised "Express Service" standard issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China explicitly mandates the standardization of weighing and billing procedures. Despite these clear directives, some express companies have failed to implement these regulations in practice. Users who encounter irregularities in their billing are encouraged to file complaints to address this issue.
