Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó declared on Sunday that the United States government has rescinded sanctions against Hungary's plans to expand the Paks Nuclear Power Plant. In an official statement, Szijjártó revealed that the Trump administration had overturned the penalties imposed during the Biden administration, a decision that is expected to expedite the construction of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant situated on the Danube River, south of Budapest.
