The April global economic and trade friction index has been unveiled, revealing a stark 37.6% year-on-year increase in the amount involved. Data sourced from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade indicates that the index stood at 131 for the month. Among the country-specific indices, the United States, Japan, and India occupied the top three spots, with the United States leading the pack for ten consecutive months due to the largest amount involved. In terms of industries, the electronics sector topped the list of 13 industries, including electronics and transportation equipment, with the highest economic and trade friction index.
