Hangzhou is spearheading a reform in prepaid consumption, with the introduction of the 'Peaceful and Joyful Life Plan' by the Meituan platform. This initiative has garnered the participation of over 6,000 merchants across various sectors, including sports and fitness, foot massage, hairdressing, manicure, and parent-child entertainment. Central to this plan is the 'Runaway Refund' solution and a subscription card that features 'per-use verification and refund for remaining balance'. Once consumers purchase relevant services, they are assured of consumption safety, as they can apply for a refund in accordance with platform rules if they encounter merchants that close down or have unused services.
