The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has extended admission and comprehensive support to two Harvard graduate students impacted by recent US policies. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, has pledged her full commitment to aiding affected international students and is considering an increase in non-local student quotas. In response, several Hong Kong universities, notably HKUST and The University of Hong Kong, have announced the establishment of transfer pathways, the offering of scholarships, and other forms of assistance to international students adversely affected by developments in the United States.
