On May 1, national railways witnessed a record-breaking number of 23.119 million passengers. Notably, 15.671 million of these travelers were accommodated by China Railway High-speed (CRH) trains, marking year-on-year increases of 11.7% and 16.1% for total passengers and CRH passengers, respectively. The railway department meticulously planned and executed the transportation arrangements during the May Day holiday, operating 13,800 passenger trains to ensure a safe, stable, and orderly travel experience for all passengers.
