Epic Games has unveiled the Epic Games Store Webshops service, designed to assist developers in navigating around Apple's in-app purchase system, thereby slashing commission fees. With this service, developers can establish standalone web stores and seamlessly direct users to make external payments. Moreover, players will receive a 5% Epic Rewards bonus upon completing a purchase. This bold move comes on the heels of a court decision mandating Apple to lift anti-steering restrictions. Epic Games also intends to revamp its payment policy, offering a commission-free service to developers earning less than $1 million annually and an 88% revenue share for those surpassing this threshold.
