On May 2, Apple unveiled its fiscal second-quarter results for the year 2025, posting a revenue of $95.36 billion, comfortably surpassing Wall Street's projections (LSEG had estimated $94.66 billion). Among the key highlights, iPhone revenue stood at $46.84 billion, surpassing the StreetAccount estimate of $45.84 billion. Mac revenue clocked in at $7.95 billion, slightly edging out the StreetAccount estimate of $7.77 billion. iPad revenue also exceeded expectations, recording $6.4 billion compared to the StreetAccount estimate of $6.2 billion.

However, the closely scrutinized services segment generated revenue of $26.65 billion, marginally missing the StreetAccount estimate of $26.7 billion. This was primarily due to revenues from services like iCloud subscriptions, Apple Music, and Apple TV+ failing to meet market expectations. Furthermore, revenue from wearables and accessories amounted to $7.52 billion, undershooting the anticipated $7.95 billion.

Following the earnings report, Apple's share price declined by over 2% in after-hours trading.
