In April, the nationwide average price of new residential properties in 100 cities stood at 16,764 yuan per square meter, marking a 0.14% increase from the previous month and a 2.50% increase year-on-year. This upward trend was fueled by the introduction of high-quality improvement projects in select cities. Despite the robust activity in the second-hand housing market, the high volume of listings resulted in an average price of 13,892 yuan per square meter, which declined by 0.69% month-on-month and 7.23% year-on-year. The phenomenon of "trading volume determining price" has emerged as the predominant trend.
