On April 8, Carlos Queipo, the Spanish Minister of Economic Affairs, Industry, and Competitiveness, revealed that the tariff measures announced by the United States government would affect approximately 80% of Spain's exports to the US, totaling around 14.9 billion euros. Queipo noted that it is presently challenging to precisely gauge the extent of this policy's impact on Spain, and that the government would convene with relevant departments to deliberate on the matter. On the same day, the Spanish government approved a series of decrees aimed at allocating 14.1 billion euros to mitigate the effects of the US trade war.
