November 5 – Airbus delivered approximately 74 aircraft in October, according to people familiar with the matter. That means the company must significantly ramp up deliveries in the final two months of 2026 if it is to meet its full-year target of about 870 aircraft. Airbus still needs to deliver another 250 planes — equivalent to more than six per working day. Rob Morris, former head of Ascend by Cirium, said Airbus has never before sustained such a delivery pace. Although the company has increased production in the second half of this year and has previously topped 100 deliveries in a single month, it has lowered its annual delivery target for two consecutive years — in 2024 and 2025 — due to additional inspections prompted by parts shortages and supplier quality issues. Airbus reiterated last month that it expects to meet its full-year target. Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury said supply chain conditions have improved somewhat, and Pratt & Whitney is expected to supply a sufficient number of engines to help Airbus reach its goal. Airbus and the engine maker had previously been at odds over slow engine deliveries.
