French mutual credit bank Acaya reported on the 4th that it had suffered a cyberattack and had intercepted some of the stolen funds. Hackers breached bank accounts to transfer money to other banks and used specialized platforms to convert the funds into cryptocurrency. The bank has intercepted some of the funds and taken measures to recover the remainder, and customer funds were not damaged. French sources say the stolen funds may exceed 100 million euros; the bank did not confirm this figure and said the amount is still being assessed. The Paris prosecutor's office has opened a formal investigation.
