Toyota Motor will establish a dedicated robotics department as part of a comprehensive restructuring effort, positioning robotics as a key pillar of its future business. The new department will be led by Chief Production Officer Takefumi Shiga. In addition, the company will abolish the Carbon Neutral Engineering Development Center and the Frontier Research Center, merging their related functions into other business areas.
