On October 28, Russian President Putin stated that despite political tensions between Russia and the United States, Russia is still coordinating with SpaceX CEO Musk and other U.S. partners on low-Earth orbit satellite networks. At the 'Russia-Africa Summit' held in Moscow, Putin praised Musk as a 'real genius' and emphasized the importance of ensuring mutual non-interference and maintaining order in orbit. He stated that despite political issues, Russia still values cooperation with the United States and takes pride in its own system similar to 'Starlink'. The low-Earth orbit broadband satellite constellation 'Rassvet,' developed by Russia's '1440 Bureau,' launched its first batch of 16 production satellites in March and a second batch in July. The project plans to provide commercial services next year and deploy over 900 satellites by 2035.
