On October 24, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, made a statement alleging that the Ukrainian military had breached the service terms of 'Starlink' by employing it in offensive drone attacks that led to casualties. He further mentioned that the pertinent security flaws had been rectified the previous week. Musk underscored that the commercial iteration of 'Starlink' is not intended for offensive drone operations. In contrast, 'Starshield' represents a distinct system under the purview of the U.S. government. On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the military-grade 'Starlink' (also known as 'Starshield') satellite communication system, utilized by the Ukrainian military, had been completely restored. He noted that the service levels had now reverted to their pre-restriction state, which occurred over a week prior.
