The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade is now operational on the public testnet, with the transaction processing budget increased to more than three times its previous level. The upgrade was activated on the Sepolia testnet on Tuesday, raising the testnet's block gas limit from approximately 60 million to around 200 million. Developers are currently testing related improvements aimed at providing space for the Ethereum blockchain to handle more payment and transaction activities. By increasing block processing capacity, it is hoped that more transactions can be accommodated before network congestion intensifies, alleviating the pressure from growing transaction demand.
