At a staggering depth of 1,500 meters beneath the ocean's surface, communication between manned submersibles and their surface support vessels was traditionally restricted to basic text-based commands. However, in November 2025, a groundbreaking communication system installed on the 'Deep Sea Warrior' submersible accomplished, for the very first time, the seamless real-time transmission of video footage from the submersible's underwater cabin directly to the surface. This achievement stands as a remarkable milestone in the development of China's real-time video communication capabilities, particularly in scenarios characterized by extremely narrow bandwidths and weak signal channels.
