On October 1, news emerged that the single-junction perovskite solar cell modules, meticulously developed by GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (Kunshan), have reached a significant milestone. These modules have been successfully loaded and are now undergoing assembly, marking their entry into the final preparatory phase prior to launch. According to the meticulously planned schedule, these innovative devices are set to be launched aboard the B300 series small cargo spacecraft, a cutting-edge creation by Beijing Ziwei Yutong Technology Co., Ltd. Once in orbit, they will undergo rigorous performance verification in a low-Earth circular orbit, positioned approximately 360 kilometers above the Earth's surface, with an inclination of 41.5 degrees. This groundbreaking experiment stands as a pivotal engineering test for perovskite solar cells, paving the way for their potential application in space power systems within China.
