According to sources familiar with the matter, GE HealthCare Technologies is in advanced negotiations to acquire Sofie Biosciences for approximately $1 billion, aiming to expand its presence in the field of radioactive diagnostic agents used in medical scanning. The two sides could announce the outcome of the deal as early as this week, but the terms of the negotiations may still change or fall through. If the acquisition is successful, it would mark GE HealthCare's second major acquisition since its spin-off from General Electric in January 2023.
