On September 8, 2026, XPENG Motors made a groundbreaking announcement: the official launch of the world's inaugural high-level, general-purpose humanoid robot automated production line. This milestone event saw the world's first advanced humanoid robot undergo automated final assembly and then autonomously roll off the production line. This achievement signifies a pivotal transition for XPENG Robotics, moving from the stages of research and development, as well as trial production, to full-fledged manufacturing on the production line. The production line stands out with its remarkable automation rate, exceeding 80% in its core processes. The humanoid robot itself is a marvel of engineering, boasting 76 degrees of freedom throughout its body. It is powered by three Turing AI chips, delivering an impressive computing power of 2250TOPS. Looking ahead, mass production of this cutting-edge robot is anticipated by the end of the year, with plans for market launch and delivery slated for 2027.
