Recently, the National Conference on Facilitating the Authorized Utilization of Service Data from the National Satellite Navigation and Positioning Reference Station Network was co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Data Administration in Beijing. Satellite navigation and positioning reference stations, as a pivotal part of the national spatiotemporal information infrastructure, offer essential ground-based support for the Beidou system to provide high-precision services. Zhang Wang, the Director of the Data Resources Department at the National Data Administration, highlighted that 2026 has been earmarked as the "Year of Unleashing the Value of Data Elements." The Party Central Committee has underscored the significance of data as a fundamental resource and a driving force for innovation. The data derived from the satellite navigation and positioning reference station network is of paramount importance for the construction of a Digital China and the safeguarding of the nation's spatiotemporal security. The objective of this authorized utilization is to tap into the potential of this data, broaden its application domains, and propel high-quality economic and social development.
