On September 3, the construction of the hull for P-84—the world's first all-electric large floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel—was successfully completed in Yantai, Shandong Province. This vessel has been built by CIMC for Petrobras. Boasting a total length of 345.3 meters, a width of 64.8 meters, and a moulded depth of 34.3 meters, the hull weighs over 100,000 tons. It marks the largest single-unit FPSO hull project ever undertaken by a Chinese shipyard. P-84 is designed with an all-electric framework and incorporates low-carbon technologies, aiming to decrease greenhouse gas emission intensity by approximately 30%.
