As of the present moment, the maternity insurance program has successfully extended its coverage to encompass 260 million individuals. Notably, within this framework, 193 coordinated regions spanning 22 provinces have broadened their maternity insurance provisions to include flexible workers. Furthermore, a significant stride has been made in 28 provinces and 303 coordinated regions, where the policy of 'no out-of-pocket expenses' for individuals undergoing hospital childbirth, as covered by the insurance, has been put into effect. Additionally, all provinces have now incorporated suitable assisted reproductive technology procedures into their medical insurance coverage, and have fully achieved the integration of labor analgesia expenses into medical insurance reimbursement schemes.
