On September 3, it was reported that Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin is advancing its satellite network development plan and has poached at least 47 senior employees from Amazon's Leo satellite project, according to LinkedIn profiles. Analysis reveals that these employees are currently involved in the research and development of Blue Origin's emerging satellite communications project, TeraWave. Amazon's Leo project is set to begin selling broadband internet services to customers before the end of this year, gradually expanding to households, businesses, and governments worldwide. Meanwhile, Blue Origin's TeraWave project, announced in January, is seeking regulatory approval to build a network of thousands of satellites, serving enterprise and government customers requiring high-volume data transmission, fulfilling needs that typically require customized fiber-optic connections.
