On September 2, Dongsheng Aerospace made an announcement, stating that the company has ambitions to develop and deploy two high-performance internet satellites, along with one high-performance SAR remote sensing satellite, within this year. Presently, the company has successfully accomplished the development and ground-based testing of a 7,000kg ultra-large, multi-purpose satellite platform. Moreover, it is in the process of developing a 10kW-class large-scale computing satellite. To cater to the evolving demands of mass-produced internet satellites, Dongsheng Aerospace has autonomously undertaken the R&D and ground verification of several key products. These include large flexible solar arrays, highly integrated comprehensive electronics, 5G onboard base stations, and expansive full-digital phased array antennas. Additionally, Dongsheng Aerospace has set up standardized satellite smart manufacturing facilities in several regions, including Beijing, Hunan, and Henan. Notably, the two primary satellite factories in Hunan and Henan are already up and running. The Henan factory, in particular, boasts an impressive production capacity of 50 satellites per year at the 1,000kg level. Meanwhile, the Beijing Shunyi satellite smart manufacturing base is anticipated to commence operations by 2027.
