On August 31st, reports emerged from an optical fiber production facility revealing that just two optical fiber preforms—each boasting an outer diameter of over 300 millimeters and weighing more than 560 kilograms—could be drawn into optical fibers so lengthy they could encircle the Earth. Impressively, a single preform can yield over 20,000 kilometers of optical fiber. According to a company executive, all production lines have been operating at peak capacity this year, with sales of certain models skyrocketing by three to five times compared to the previous year. The company's newly inaugurated intelligent manufacturing base has now reached completion, promising to double production capacity. Consequently, some orders are already being scheduled up to a year in advance.
