SpaceX is set to bolster its satellite internet service with the addition of ground infrastructure, a move that places it in direct competition with the largest mobile communication operators in the United States. On August 4 (local time), SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell highlighted during the inaugural earnings call that the three telecommunications giants—AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile—collectively rake in annual revenues in the hundreds of billions of dollars. She remarked, "I anticipate that we will be able to lure a substantial portion of their customer base, given the superiority of our service. I hold a very positive outlook for the future of Starlink Mobile."
